Condolence From: Doug Gray
Condolence: Sorry to hear of Jack's passing. He is the epitome of a fine Navy Chief/role model. I was stationed with him at AIMD Atsugi, Japan while working as a Logs & Records Clerk in Maintenance Control. Jack wrangled up all of us misfit second class petty officers and motivated us by getting us in involved in running and computers. We had our own little unofficial running club because of him and it fostered good health and friendly competition. Jack's computer browser of choice was Netscape Navigator (wow, was that a long time ago). Good-humored, easy-going, and integrity are just a few of the multitude of awesome traits which I would use to describe this man. His character has and will continue to leave an indelible mark on every person he's touched.
Jack, thanks for being a part of my life and I'll miss you.
