Condolence From: Russ Dobson
Condolence: Joce and Jimmy,
I wish this had been posted publicly before the service for your dad. He was a fine man and I would have liked to have been there to honor him and express my condolences to each of you in person He will be missed in this community as well as Andover, Mass. You both hold a special place in my heart and I trust God will bring comfort in your grief.

Condolence: When I first came to Pax River (1975), Jim was my neighbor in the Bill Raley apartments. We have been friends and members of IHM all these years. We were deeply saddened when we heard that Jim had died. We offer our deepest sympathy and condolences to his family.

Condolence From: Bill Rymer
Condolence: Jim and I worked together from 1971 when he got out of college until I retired in 2001. He was heart and soul of our engineering capability at RTPS. Many do no know that he designed and built a key interface between computers of the day and telemetry equipment which was used in the first 4 RTPS streams, also those bought by Bell-Boeing and others. What a great engineer and genuine person. I was so shocked and saddened to hear of his death. My sincere and deepest condolences to his family.

Condolence From: Mike Payne
Condolence: Jim and I worked together for several years at Pax River at the test range and on training ranges. In 1999, we attended the first Dale Carnegie course offered on the base together. I will never forget this story: On the first day of class we had an exercise to try to remember the names of as many classmates as possible (there were more than 20 in the class). As a memory aid, each student stood up, went to the front of the class, and did a "skit" of a mnemonic to help the other students remember his/her name. When it was Jim's turn, he got up, stood there, acted like he was lifting weights, and asked us to think of working out in a gym to remember his first name - then he pooched his cheeks, bulged his eyes, and said to think of a fish for his last name - thus, "Gym Gills". He had a great recall memory, as he remembered most of the names of his classmates.
My condolences to his family.
