Shirley Ann Morris,76, of Avenue, MD passed away on January 21, 2021 in Leonardtown, MD. She was born on February 28, 1944 in Leonardtown, MD and was the daughter of the late Mary Lillian Lathroum Anderson Blackistone and Thomas Dewey Blackistone. Shirley was the loving wife of the late Charles LeRoy Morris who proceeded her in death on November 17, 1989. Shirley is survived by her children Dorothy Snoots (Greg) of Mechanicsville, MD, Charles LeRoy Morris, Jr. (Linda) of Abell, MD, Conrad Benjamin Morris (Brenda) of Bushwood, MD, Wesley Leonard Morris of Avenue, MD, 7 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Siblings Carolyn Stine of Cobb Island, MD, Regina Erickson of South Carolina, Brenda Mattingly of Avenue, MD, and LeRoy Blackistone of Clements, MD. She was preceded in death by her daughter Donna Jean Morris and siblings Dorothy Ann Norris and Junior Blackistone.

Shirley was a lifelong St. Mary’s County, MD resident and homemaker.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 28, 2021 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM in the Mattingley-Gardiner Funeral Home Leonardtown, MD. A Mass of Christian Burial will Celebrated Thursday, January 28, 2021 at 11:00 AM in Holy Angel’s Catholic Church Avenue, MD with Father Stephen Wyble officiating. Interment will follow in Charles Memorial Gardens Leonardtown, MD. Serving as pallbearers will be Raymond Snoots, Greg Snoots, Andre Morris, Christopher Hayden, Mike Lacey, and Joe Blackistone.
